In remembrance of the victims of 9/11, the BHS Select Singers sang the national anthem after a moment of silence on the morning announcements. They were directed by the new choral director, Mrs. Julie Weller.
Tonight, a magical moment occurred bridging the gap between the middle school and the high school.
For the first time, the middle school Symphonic Band under the direction of Marcia Medvitz joined Mr. Matt Lovell and the BHS Red Devils Marching Band for the National Anthem. Thank you for all the staff and volunteer parents for helping make this happen.
Surely this will create life long memories for all. The pride among the parents was palpable. Way to go!
“Music Education, Hitting the High Notes”
Mary Blake from WBZ CBS Radio AM 1030 featured the BHS Marching Band (Steven Gelberg, Drum Major), and Fox Hill Elementary music teacher Jeanne Coroniti and her class.
Here is a video that Pranav Menon made to answer the question, “What makes our Music Department Great.”
It was created for a video contest. It had to be one minute or less. The winners will be announced on June 7.
Please join us on Thursday, June 5 at 9AM in the Pine Glen Cafe for the first ever 3rd Grade Violin Concert! The third graders have worked very hard, and are excited to perform. Look forward to classics like “Twinkle, Twinkle” and “Bile Em Cabbage Down!” See you there!
